The vision for Oaktown was initially conceived by Tony Saade, who, after traveling and living abroad, came back to Lebanon in 1999 and built a camp site to emphasize the beauty of natural Lebanese green spaces. Back then, and until mid-2019, the site was called Lehfed Country Club. Today, as a family-run business, they decided to uplift the brand, all-the-while staying true to their father’s vision. The decision to rename the site Oaktown stems from the fact that oak is becoming a threatened species in Lebanon and Lehfed is one of the few places that still preserve it. Oaktown caters their services to anyone interested to get away from the overwhelming chaos of big city life and get in touch with mother nature. Their goal is to provide you with a representative but modernized community within the traditional, well-conserved town of Lehfed. The re-envisioned Oaktown comes with a whole new set of on-site and off-site activities that immerse you in the history of Lehfed and what Lebanon used to be before it became industrialized, you can also choose to kick back, hang out and enjoy good food, drinks and the beautiful scenery.
